Copper Rivets
Copper contact rivets can be made using ETP or OFHC copper.
Copper contact rivets can be made using ETP or OFHC copper.
Solid silver contacts rivets can be made using pure silver or silver alloys.
Bi-Metal contact rivets are composed of silver (or silver alloy) facing, with the remainder of the head and the entire shank of copper. The joint between both the materials is achieved by either cold bonding or resistance welding.
Tri-Metal contact rivets are composed of silver (or silver alloy) layer on the
head as well as on the shank of the rivet. They find applications where contact
on both sides has to be made. The shank end will be upset to form the
second contact head, when in use.
Button contacts, which has the facing of silver (or silver alloy) with base
made up of steel, copper, nickel or cupro-nickel. The base materials makes
it easier for welding of these contacts on different types of contact carrier.
